A limited number of travel stipends are available to conference participants. In order to provide assistance to as many individuals as possible, it is unlikely that stipends will fully cover travel costs. Travel stipends will be awarded at the discretion of the conference organizers. Factors taken into consideration include: financial need, geography, ethnic diversity, and area of expertise. Applicants will be notified by Friday, September 18, 2009. Discounted early bird registration rates will be extended to all travel stipend applicants (notwithstanding the general early bird deadline of September 15, and whether or not a stipend is awarded).
