This workshop will present an overview of Census 2010, including what it is, why it is important to our community and where we are in the process. The workshop will also examine what strategies and resources are available for organizations to encourage their community members to participate in the 2010 Census. Panelists will past strategies used to encourage an accurate count of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, what messages have been found to be effective for the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, and what is the real-world impact of having an inaccurate count.
