We, Too, Are America: Strengthening Immigrant Integration Policy in the United States
Date: Thursday, October 29, 2009
Time: 2:15 - 3:45
Place: Room 8, First Floor
Workshop Track: Immigrant Integration & Civic Participation
Despite being a “nation of immigrants”, the United States has no official integration policy that supports the economic mobility and civic participation of immigrant communities or that addresses the need for societal openness to immigrants in an ever more global environment. Renowned panelists will discuss the need for such a policy, as well as provide insight on new research, advocacy and proposed legislation toward the adoption of an immigrant integration agenda.
The Asian Pacific American Legal Center is a California State Bar certified provider of MCLE credits and this workshop has been approved for 1 hour of credit. To receive California MCLE credit, attorneys must pay an additional $10 per workshop that offers MCLE credit. Payment collected separately onsite.
